My wife has written an open letter to Rick Santorum (R-PA), who has recently caused a furor over his comments in an AP interview. As she prefers her own blog to be more information-oriented, I include it here.
Outrage Overload! In an era of Faux News, wars of hubris, all-out assaults on American rights by the right, and 24 hour spin on every (American) channel, the primary force of justice is a loose alliance of two-fisted liberals getting involved and taking back their country. Get Outraged.

Supporting Our Troops
I didn't want to go here. It is my opinion that an anti-war protestor shouldn't have to provide one's pro-military bonafides to have the "right" to protest the war. I was under the impression that our Constitution gave me that. Having said that, I am reluctantly doing so anyway for reasons I shall keep private.
My grandfather was an Army minesweeper during the second World War. My father was in the Air Force, serving in SAC during the Cuban Missile Crisis and going to Vietnam at the tail end of his term of service. Two of my uncles also served, one in the Marines and one in the Navy. Yes, that did get interesting on occasion. :-)

Who won our freedom, protestors or soldiers? --Yes.
(Note: This hasn't been fact-checked yet; please feel free to contact us with any corrections.)
Before there was Bunker Hill, there was the Boston Tea Party. Before rebel soldiers came rebel pamphlets. Before armies marched on Yorktown, thinkers gathered in New York and Philadelphia.
I should thank the conservative attack mouths for repeating their cleverly disingenuous lines so regularly of late. In the past, they were in and gone before a proper response could truly be thought of. Now, though, they shout more routinely and loudly -- which gives the rest of us time to uncover the truth.
