Supporting Our Troops
I didn't want to go here. It is my opinion that an anti-war protestor shouldn't have to provide one's pro-military bonafides to have the "right" to protest the war. I was under the impression that our Constitution gave me that. Having said that, I am reluctantly doing so anyway for reasons I shall keep private.
My grandfather was an Army minesweeper during the second World War. My father was in the Air Force, serving in SAC during the Cuban Missile Crisis and going to Vietnam at the tail end of his term of service. Two of my uncles also served, one in the Marines and one in the Navy. Yes, that did get interesting on occasion. :-)

Before there was Bunker Hill, there was the Boston Tea Party. Before rebel soldiers came rebel pamphlets. Before armies marched on Yorktown, thinkers gathered in New York and Philadelphia.
I should thank the conservative attack mouths for repeating their cleverly disingenuous lines so regularly of late. In the past, they were in and gone before a proper response could truly be thought of. Now, though, they shout more routinely and loudly -- which gives the rest of us time to uncover the truth.

Courage and Resistance
As our Great Nation begins a war of conquest, I would like to take this moment to point out that it's hardly America's first adventure in regime change. The United States has supported tyranny in the past, and has replaced "bad" tyrants with "good" tyrants repeatedly. America has even trained and equipped thugs in the subtle art of oppressing populations.
This time, however, is quite different. For the first time, a sitting President is openly, brazenly waging total war on an essentially defenseless country for the sole purpose of taking it over. This is being done in defiance of the United Nations that the White House purports to uphold and the Security Council it claims to make relevant. It is being done without any official international body, and most of the members of the "coalition of the willing" are neither providing combat troops nor enjoying the support of their people at home.
